Personal Life and Achievements:

2004: The Pillar of My Life I found my anchor in the love of my life, and we tied the knot in Dillon, SC. Our love story was soon graced with the birth of our eldest son. My wife is the living testament to the power of nurturing relationships from an early age.

2005 – 2006: Entrepreneurial Beginnings My entrepreneurial journey took off with Green Light Lawn Maintenance. The catchy tagline “Give Us The Go To Mow” not only resonated with our clientele but also fetched us our very first online clients from Google Search. This was my initial rendezvous with the transformative power of the internet.

2009 – 2010: Embracing the Call of Duty I answered the call to serve and joined the Army as an Infantry Paratrooper. Adventure awaited in places like Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria. My training at Fort Benning, Mount Warfare, and Cave Warfare at Ft. Knox equipped me for the challenges ahead.

2011 – 2012: Leading the Charge Stepping into the role of an Infantry Machine Gun Team leader, I led brave soldiers into combat. These experiences taught me about accountability, especially when the stakes involved life and death decisions.

2013 – 2014: Mentoring the Next Generation As an Infantry Squad Leader, my empathetic approach to leadership came to the fore. My most profound learning moments came from comforting survivors and mentoring budding leaders.

2015 – 2016: Champions in the Making Coaching the Battalion combative team to three weight class victories, including one of my own, was a testimony to leadership by example. This period also saw me completing the Infantry Advanced Leaders Course (ALC).

2017 – 2018: Leading on Short Notice While prepping to move to Alaska, my platoon received a Quick Reaction Force notice. We landed in Iraq and later Syria, taking part in the Re-taking of Mosul. The swift redeployment and relocation to Alaska were testament to our agility and commitment.

2018 – 2020: Educating the Next Generation Back on orders, I was reassigned to the Alaska Noncommissioned Officers Academy. This high-trust teaching position saw me mentoring hundreds of soldiers. I earned accolades like the Army Instructor badge and NCO of The Quarter, among others.

2020 – 2022: Cultivating Leaders As a Senior Small Group leader, I worked diligently on creating SOPs and coaching soldiers to ascend leadership ranks. One of my mentees even clinched the coveted Audie Murphy award, a recognition I twice aspired for but didn’t clinch. However, true leadership is gauged by the success of those we nurture.

2022 – Present: Academic Pursuits Currently, I am enrolled at Alaska Pacific University, on the path to secure my OS in Adventure Therapy. My subsequent Master of the Arts will be the pioneering Master’s in Jiu-Jitsu. This is more than just a degree; it’s the manifestation of my undying passion. Based out of Legacy Jiu-Jitsu in Anchorage, Alaska, I continue to push the boundaries as a competitive Brown belt in Jiu-jitsu and retired MMA fighter. This Master’s degree will revolutionize the Jiu-Jitsu industry.

More than Just a Resume:

My role as a Life Coach has remained constant throughout these years. Whether it was after winning the NCO of the Quarter in Alaska, during my initial days in the Army, or post my triumph at the All American Combatives, I have consistently reached out, offering guidance and mentorship.

Two decades of marital bliss, the joy of parenthood, and an ever-evolving journey filled with highs and lows; that’s my story. My vision is clear: To pave the way forward for Jiu-jitsu as an industry, while also mentoring young minds, and sharing the profound joys of life.
